Well, for over an year now, I have been waiting to get my hands on an extension or a Google Labs feature earlier in GMail but now in Chrome itself (since I use many different applications where I type) which would count the number of words I type per day (say in replying to mails) and what are my peak hours. An advanced feature could be how much time I spend writing those words and with whom I am spending most time corresponding. I am sure it has already turned on your senses! I want to see the plots at the end of the year or a month to start with. So, something that would Sync all this data with my Google Account without bothering me to save it or back it up somewhere else. Why I would prefer a Chrome extension and not a Google Labs feature? That's simply because a Chrome extension would work seamlessly across all tabs I use in Chrome and using Google Sync, it may even be machine independent, so in a given day, if I login to my account from different machines running Chrome with Google Sync enabled, it would be the same as working on the same machine all day. Awesome, ain't it!? |
