How to reach home from the San Francisco International Airport (SFO):

There are three options:
01. Take a cab. Most expensive but it is the fastest way to reach home. Works fine if you are are a group of 3-4 people. ($100+)
02. Take Supershuttle (http://www.supershuttle.com/). Most convenient option - right from the airport to my apartment door. Works great if you have a lot of luggage. However, since the shuttle is shared by multiple passengers, it may take some time before you get to my place since the driver decides the best route to accommodate drop for all passengers. However, you may get a chance to see the city so get the front window seat if possible! ($50)
03. Take the BART (http://bart.gov/). You can get this train from SFO and your destination will be Downtown Berkeley BART station. Takes about 1 hour and requires one transfer. Buy one-way ticket to Downtown Berkeley BART using dollar bills or credit card from the ticket vending machine ($8.65). Note, the machine returns only  a limited amount in change. From San Francisco Int BART take Millbrae-SFIA to Pittsburg/Baypoint train towards Pittsburg / Bay Point. Get down at 19th St. Oakland BART station (46 mins., 15 stops). Transfer to Fremont to Richmond train towards Richmond. Get down at Downtown Berkeley BART station (10 mins., 3 stops). Walk to the Bank of America bus stop at the intersection of Center St. and Shattuck Ave. See the attached snapshot. Look at the Bus Timings Display (circled yellow on the snapshot) for arrival of bus # 52 to U.C. Village or # 18 to Albany/Solano Ave. The bus driver does not offer any change so make sure you have $2.1 change to pay for the trip fare. Note, there is no receipt provided! The ride will last about 15 mins. Follow the directions on the attached map to reach the destination.
